Barbara is the Director of Engineering at HubSpot, where she oversees HubSpot’s Dublin engineering team, which develop a number of HubSpot’s core products. Barbara has a history of growing large tech teams, having held positions such as VP of Software Development for Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Software Development Director for Inspired Gaming Group. She is passionate about diversity in the tech industry and about growing/promoting positive engineering work cultures, is a regular speaker at industry events and was recently featured on Silicon Republic's 25 of Ireland's phenomenal women of engineering.
Sarah Cunningham is Vice President of Mastercard’s Dublin Technology Hub where she is focused on growing the impact of Mastercard’s Dublin operation.
Over her 20-year career, Sarah has held various Strategy, Marketing, Innovation Management and Leadership positions in companies including Google, BT Retail UK, CapGemini and Accenture.
Sarah is passionate about mentoring and coaching the future generation of up-and-coming talent. In addition to her day job, she also previously worked as a part-time Associate Lecturer in Digital Marketing at the Technological University Dublin.
As former chair of Mastercard’s Dublin chapter Women’s Leadership Network and active PRIDE ally, Sarah is a staunch advocate for diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
In her spare time, Sarah is an avid hiker and has completed hikes in the Himalayas, Lesotho, the Inca Trail and most recently, a 140km leg of the Camino de Santiago. She is currently training to participate in a week long fundraising Alpine expedition, climbing three mountains in the Alps in aid of The Caroline Foundation for Cancer Clinical Research Trust (CCRT) team.
Caragh O’Carroll, Account Director and Telecoms Sector Lead, has a keen interest in data strategy and the potential of data-centric companies. She focuses on transformation through combining business challenges with technology solutions for both managed services clients and new customers. Caragh is passionate about co-creating and articulating how technology can improve and change our working and daily lives in this age of rapid digital transformation. With a background in engineering, operations, product management and partner management, she has insights into many business challenges and opportunities. She has presented widely on GDPR and also recently on Artificial Intelligence in London.
Ciara Garvan is the founding director of WorkJuggle.com, an innovative, online platform connecting highly skilled professionals with flexible, remote and contract roles. Ciara has been a notable contributor to the Irish technology industry over the past fifteen years, holding senior roles in blue chip companies, such as Accenture, Eir and Meteor. <p> Ciara holds a Masters in Applied Computing and was recently invited to be an external assessor on the DIT Masters in Advanced Analytics for Engineering Professionals. Since founding WorkJuggle in 2016, Ciara has taken the business, which was named as one of Silicon Republic’s top Irish Start-ups 2018, from strength to strength.
As Pre-Acceleration leader at NDRC, an early-stage investor in technology start-up companies, Helen has overall responsibility for the design, development, sourcing, delivery and evaluation of pre-venturing support at pre-seed investment stage. A passionate advocate of female entrepreneurship, she led the delivery of NDRC Female Founders six-month accelerator in partnership with Enterprise Ireland. She has recently completed the first global study of the value of peer support in female business venturing.
Prior to joining NDRC, she was General Manager with ClubCorp in Beijing, China, having worked with the organisation in the United States as a General Manager, Regional Manager and as a member of the corporate revenue team. She received numerous accolades for operational excellence and customer experience transformation. She attributes much of her success to an ability to unite teams around a shared, user-centred, vision.
Lisa Newon George is a co-founding Director of Vela Games, an independent game studio in Dublin, focused on creating innovative multiplayer experiences for enthusiast gamers. Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Lisa earned a Ph.D. in Anthropology from UCLA, where she studied digital games along with the communities and cultures that shape them. Making the transition from academia to industry, she moved from Los Angeles to Dublin to join Riot Games where she eventually lead the Player Insights team. Lisa brings a wide breadth of experience to the Vela Games team, where she is currently working on the company’s first unannounced project.
Niamh works at ConsenSys Ireland as a Senior Consultant since it was incorporated in Dublin in April 2018. She has experience working with Clients on blockchain engagements across Supply Chain, Consumer Products and Financial Services.She is heavily involved in blockchain related initiatives in Ireland. In September 2018, she co-founded BlockW, a female-led association that raises awareness of blockchain for all in a bid to showcase its relevance and potential.
In November 2018, she was awarded the Blockchain Leadership Award at Dublin Tech Summit’s Women in Tech Event.
Prior to ConsenSys, Niamh worked at Deloitte’s EMEA Blockchain Lab since it was established in May 2016.
Niamh became interested in blockchain in November 2015 after supporting with the orchestration of “Europe’s largest hackathon”. Since then, She became hooked in better understanding how blockchain could be used to better improve the quality of our lives, enabling more equal access to information and wealth globally.
Jennifer proudly boasts 14 years in the IT industry and is currently a Security Engineer with Tenable. Tenable is a global leader in the Vulnerability Management market and Jennifer has achieved several promotions since joining the company in 2016. She works to empower organisations in the private and public sectors in EMEA towards best practices in Cyber Security, Risk prevention & Exposure awareness. Jennifer is an accomplished and results-oriented individual with a strong track record of over-achieving her goals. She is also a married mother to four boys and travels from Wexford to Dublin several days a week to work whilst studying for her degree in her ‘free time’.
Jennifer has previously been nominated for both the Women in Tech and Women in IT awards in Dublin and is an active member of WITS Ireland, NWCI and Leaders in Tech Ireland.
Johanna Herbst is an entrepreneur from Zurich, Switzerland, and graduated with an M.B.A. from NYU Stern School of Business. She has lived, worked and studied in Switzerland, the US, France and Germany and worked for more than 12 years in corporate finance, management consulting and business development for companies such as Procter & Gamble, Horvath & Partners and Siemens before becoming an entrepreneur. She is now the founder of the Swiss startup Delygate.com, a digital marketplace empowering its users to delegate everyday tasks such as handiwork, home improvement, cleaning, babysitter, moving and more, in just a few clicks.
In her leisure time, she loves sports, mainly running and gym classes, as well as sculpting with clay.
Christine joined Valitor, an international payment solutions company, as Chief Marketing Officer in August 2017. She has 25+ years’ experience of B2B marketing in technology/payments, including leading European marketing functions for Hewlett-Packard and Cisco Systems.
A respected thought leader and motivational speaker with a TEDx Talk ‘Unconventional Career Advice’ (86k views) and regular blogs for Forbes Woman, Christine was recently voted #l Woman in Tech by B2B Marketing.
Christine is an advisor for European Women Payments Network (EWPN) and a Senior Fellow of The Conference Board. She has a doctorate (DBA) in customer insight from Cranfield School of Management.
